Periodontics - prophylactics and treatment of tooth-holding tissues.

It's a branch of dentistry dealing with the prevention and treatment of tooth-holding tissues. The main cause of periodontal disease (gingivitis and periodontitis) is bacterial plaque. Left untreated, periodontitis can lead to losing tooth support structures and finally the tooth itself. Maintaining good oral hygiene by the patient and regular visits to the dentist may significantly reduce the risk of developing these diseases. In our clinic diagnosis and initial treatment of periodontal disease are carried out. In case of complex treatment of the masticatory apparatus we work in collaboration with a specialist periodontist.
